Just in time for Christmas!

I can't believe it's only one more week until Christmas! And a few of us (ahem) still haven't done our Christmas cards yet.

Here's two very adorable kids that I was able to photograph last weekend... just in time for Christmas!

Tea Parties and Little Girls.

What little girl doesn't love playing dress up and having tea parties? I know my little girl does! She even requests to drink out of her teacup at meal time and snack time. (And I of course succumb to her requests - she's quite convincing!)

So this year for Marlee's birthday photos we had a tea party outside... with her baby doll. I can't decide which photo is my favourite. What do you think?

Meet the P. Family

I love Fall photo sessions. Leaves on the ground, crisp air, sunny days. It makes the day even better when I get to photograph such a charming family! With blue eyes to die for, the sweetest smiles and a gorgeous sunny day. Who could ask for more?!

Some of my favorite photos from the P. Family photo session...

It's been a while since I've done one of the iheartfaces photo challenges... what better time to get back on board than autumn!

Greg & Emily

I photographed Greg & Emily's wedding as a second shooter over the summer - I'm finally getting around to blogging it!

Without further adieu, Greg & Emily...

Hotel Living Week 7!

There was a time when I thought staying in a hotel was fun - it was related to a nice vacation. No more! As many of you know, my family and I recently moved to Boston. We enjoyed the first hotel we stayed at. Swimming, exercise room, room service, not having to clean up after yourself. Now that we're in our third hotel, that's right THIRD, it is no longer that fun!

As we await for our house to be ready for move in, we get to enjoy living in a semi-ghetto hotel with 3 kids and only two beds. If that doesn't say "good time" I don't know what does! No longer is the FREE breakfast exciting, or the having your room cleaned nice, it's all just over-rated.

So, as I sit here on my laptop typing, my kids are in the room having a pillow fight and pretty much destroying all the maid's hard work. CHEERS to hotel living!

(Disclaimer: Photos taken with my iphone in a dark hotel room.)

Patterns and Color!

One of my favorite parts about fall [next to the beautiful fall colors] is seeing all the new fall fashions. I'm loving all the new patterns and colors this year! Here are some of my favorites...

From west coast to east coast!

I've been very bad about blogging this summer, but with good reason. We moved to Boston! I know, it's clear across the country from Portland to Boston. Crazy! Needless to say, it's been a very busy last month of summer. But I'm happy to report that we've already bought a house and will soon be settled!

It's so exciting and fun to explore all the history and charm of Boston and it's surrounding areas. We've already managed to visit Sleepy Hollow, Hampton beach, New Hampshire beaches and enjoyed lot's of yummy eats!

Since my computer isn't up and running yet, all you get are a few iPhone snapshots...

Senior Portraits - at Priest Lake!

Last week I did my nephew's senior portraits, at the most beautiful location - Priest Lake, Idaho! Not only did I get to photograph Drew, but I got to enjoy the sun, sand and water with the family. This year Drew will be a Senior - he's grown up so quickly! Some of his favorite things are playing video games, reading books and hanging out with his girlfriend. Drew plans to join the military after he graduates. Wish him luck!

Carefree Summer...

Summer is half-way over and I'm starting to feel panicked because there's so much I still want to do. Spend more time at the beach, take more photos of my kids, take the boat out fishing, go camping, go to a movie in the park, and the list goes on and on. I love the carefreeness (I know, it's not a word!) of summertime. I love having nowhere to go. I love having everywhere to go. I love sitting in the hot sun drinking lemonade (okay, it's a Coke Zero), reading a book while watching my kids jump in the pool. Soak it up, baby - you've got one month left!

Tom & Susan Wedding - Lucky In Love.

For some, love comes a little later in life. Tom & Susan have amazingly found each other to spend the rest of their lives with. They were like two young teenagers in love - the way they looked at each other, how they spoke to one another, Tom referring to Susan as "my princess". Susan couldn't have looked more beautiful a bride. Tom with his deep voice, so kind and friendly - [and even cooler, a scout for the Bruins hockey team!]. I'm so happy I got to experience and photograph this wonderful day with them.

This was my first wedding experience as a photographer. I had the wonderful opportunity to second shoot Tom and Susan's wedding with Lyndsey Sammons, an amazing photographer and even more amazing person. I can definitely see why couples hire her to photograph their wedding. (check out Lyndsey's work at http://www.lyndseysammons.com/).

Here are some of my favorite wedding moments...

Portland Homestead Supply Co.

Last week I had the opportunity to do some product shots for the Portland Homestead Supply Co. And to be honest, I had no idea what it REALLY was until I arrived at the shop (I know, naughty me!). What a pleasant surprise! The shop is so amazingly put together, with a vintage-homey feel. They have goats, chickens and ducks in the back, and pretty much anything and everything you can possibly imagine for the urban homesteader. If you live in Portland, you have to go check it out. REALLY! (8012 SE 13th Ave). Or at the very least, pay them a visit online www.homesteadsupplyco.com. Now GO have a look!

Here are some of their amazing products...
